Who We AreFounded in 1990, by a small cohort across the emerald Isle, the Irish Massage Therapists Association (IMTA) was created to form a self regulating professional body for massage and bodywork professionals in Ireland. Members abide by our Constitution and Code of Ethics. The IMTA is
managed by a voluntary Executive Committee and support team, who all
work within the massage industry. |

DO YOU HAVE A QUESTION OR A SUGGESTION?We are here to support our members and answer any public inquiries. |
We have a strong relationship with the Federation of Irish Complementary Therapists, (FICTA) who are a lobbying body that links all Complementary therapists in Ireland working toward the same goal. | By association through FICTA we are represented by The European
Federation for Complementary and Alternative Medicine (EFCAM) in order to represent massage and bodywork
professionals at national and EU level in government. | Together we are here to support our members in an ever changing world so they feel confident and competent working in this Industry. As such we are partnered with iSME (Irish Small and Medium Enterprises) through whom a variety of opportunities are available to our members and they also give a voice to the issues facing SME owner-managers. |
